This tour gives you the opportunity to visit the ancient Filerimos, a hill (267 m. height) near Trianta village. Filerimos, is a picturesque landscape with a long history, as it first belonged to the knights of St. John, passed to the Ottomans and then to the Italians.On the way up the ancient road to the Acropolis in Filerimos, one comes across the foundations of the temple of Zeus and Athena. On top, there stands beautiful church, dedicated to Holy Mary. This Monastery was destroyed during the Ottoman period and rebuilt by the Italians. You can also take photos of the magnificent peackoks. After, you’ll visit Butterfly Valley” or in Greek “Petaloudes Valley”. It sounds like a dreamy place and truly is! It is one of the most famous attractions of Rhodes that is certainly worth a visit. This is a habitat with dense flora, breathtaking natural beauty, harmonious structures of bridges with the environment, paved paths, ponds, small inexhaustible waterfalls, serene atmosphere and a unique experience for the visitors. The only sound the visitors can hear there is the chirping of the cicadas and the murmuring of the cool water. There will be time for lunch or for refreshments.
